VINAYA was a consumer technology company creating high-end connected products for a more mindful generation.

I joined the startup at seed-stage to help build the brand, own our voice and bring several products to market. We became known as one of London’s top fashion/wellness/tech startups, driving thought leadership in the ‘mindful tech’ space. Hardware is hard, though– and unfortunately the company went into administration in Dec 2016. Nevertheless, the team did some great work.

In June 2016, VINAYA launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to validate the concept behind ZENTA, our ambitious third generation product. The project was 100% funded within 41 hours and received over 90 press mentions. My involvement ranged from product positioning to video script writing, creative production, copywriting, content strategy, email, PR and much more. It was quite the rollercoaster ride.

*Disclaimer: Unfortunately, when VINAYA went into administration in Dec 2016 it was announced that ZENTA would not be produced. This was a massive disappointment for all involved, especially the backers. I’d like to state that I was no longer involved with any communications from the brand once made redundant. I am only sharing the campaign as a creative portfolio project.
